dude newspeak why are you so obsessed with hating nash lol. your arguments are invalid and just downright elementary. you can’t trust the “sleazy mustache”?? the hell does that have anything to do with nash being a dirty player??! and your theory that nash overreacted to horry’s body check is first of all stupid, as horry is at least 70 lbs heavier than nash and would definitely have sent him sprawling the way he did. also it would make a lot of sense to overreact during a flagrant foul if your team is down by 2 in the final possession of a playoff game and you’ve got the ball in your hands. you would probably want to milk the foul for all it’s worth, which is not necessarily what nash tried to do either. seems to me like you’ve got some personal grudge against him. what, you don’t like canadians? don’t like the suns cause they beat your sorry ass team all day? or worst of all, are you a spurs fan??

Yea he stuck his leg up high an tripped the man,but the guy really hurt himself by trying to fall like that i mean it was a dirty play.Last year nash really did’nt say too much bout the hit from bowen,but the hit he took from horry was wourse that that.Nash looked right where he stuck his leg very intential,but he plays like everyone else in this league an everyone plays dirty from time to time.

i think nash’s reaction to try to stop felton is natural, as in he doesn’t think about what he’s doing in that split second.. but also, in the heat of the game, nash is not thinking “oh, this is my buddy ray-ray, i’ll let him get ot the basket, i mean for chrissake, we also have the same agen and he played in my charity game…”
also, you can’t really argue that nash would’ve fallen if he hadn’t put his leg out. putting your leg out in the air like that, doesn’t give you any balance, it’s gotta put even more weight/pressure on your right foot. he doesn’t put’s his left foot on the ground and gains no balance on his left leg, and yet he doesn’t fall on the play..
i’m a big nash fan, and i think it’s somewhat cool that he can get away with this stuff. it’s clever. nash doesn’t wan’t anybody to get injured – he just want ot win every single game above anything else..

watch the clip focusing on felton’s legs only. you’ll notice that while running past nash, his foot catches nash’s foot and drags it along. i think felton was the one who caught himself up. i think you all need to calm down.

I’d say Nash kicked out with his left leg to balance himself as much as anything because his right ankle was about to give. At worst, I’d say he temporarily forgot which sport he was playing after his usual summer of soccer in New York City and used his legs more than he should have, resulting in an unfortunate foul.

Either way, I’m quite certain it wasn’t intentional because Nash A) doesn’t go around kicking people even when he’s playing soccer and B) he and Felton are friends. They’re not only represented by the same agent — Bill Duffy — but Felton participated in two Nash charity events over the summer.

I def understand that, they do want him to succeed in Phoenix so they can try to boost ratings and attendance. That’s why he hasn’t been reprimanded, that’s why he’s perceived as the golden boy.

he did it when he was here with the mavs. and now that he is with the suns (running and gunning and having fun)cause he does not play any D. he can’t, they do not call it like they did when he was here.

why? because the NBA wants him to succeed in PHX. it would be good for the game if a run and gun team won. then more teams might play like that and boost attendence.

Yeah I mean, look at his body and how Horry came into contact with him, yeah he shoved him in essence, and that was a foul… but the dude tried to sell 10 lbs. of shit in a 5 lbs. bag, it’s real funny how when he gets fouled he tries to sell it to the fullest, yet if he does something to someone else, it’s like it should never be spoken of or acknowledged. Yeah he might of raised up his hand after this dirty play, but I’m speaking of the other countless dirty plays he commits. He’ll whine like there’s no tomorrow. And now that I think about it, I believe I’ve seen him trying to trip up some other people in the past as well… Not as high of a kick, but certainly sticking his feet where they don’t belong as a player moves past him…

do not get me wrong, i like nash, watched him when he was with the mavs.

the shot he took from horry, it was an acting job. now horry commited the foul be all means, but it was not as hard as what nash made it out to be.

I find this truly humorous… I usually wouldn’t discuss a dirty play/player with someone who actually condones it being done early or late in the game… obviously you believe in dirty tactics. And you support Steve Nash… hey that’s great. More power to you, but all you did was tarnish your point of view by stating that a dirty play early or late in the game is valid. Listen buddy, a dirty play is a dirty play, no matter when it happens, and you condoning these acts is something you should really think about, cause you are a disgrace. And honestly, go watch the playoffs from the last 2-3 years for me please, and don’t just look at the bouncing ball… look at the way they defend… look at the way they set the supposed ‘picks’ and for some reason or another they will include a stiff swing of the shoulder into the defender as he tries to go around or fight through the pick. Quit being so blind. Oh another one, Nash as you know is a soccer player, if you can find and watch game 1 against the Lakers (I believe it was the first half, 5-6 minutes into either the 1st or 2nd quarter), you can clearly see on a fast break with Kobe guarding Nash as he was going for a lay up went for a real SWIFT kick to the GROIN. I had this recorded on my DVR and watched the replay many times, you could clearly see his leg in the air not moving for a sustained amount of time, but as soon as he got close enough for some contact on Kobe there was a good kick to the nuts thats very clear to see. Don’t believe me? I’m sure you’ll be able to find that game somewhere, if not that exact footage… as I was saying about soccer, he sure knows a trick or two with his feet.

It looks like Nash tripped the guy. It appears it was on purpose. That’s bad. BUT…Unless you are going to show me proof of this happenening time and time again, which I can tell you from watching Nash over the years that you most certainly won’t find it, then stop freaking out and insisting he’s a dirty player. The guy got beat on defense and made a stupid move without thinking to try and compensate for it. I say without thinking because there’s no way a decent NBA player, let alone a 2-time MVP, trips a guy (possibly injuring him) when they are already up by thirty. There’s simply no reason on earth for Nash to trip Felton here, so either he was just trying to regain position(which even I don’t think is very likely) or else he simply made a stupid split-second decision. You don’t try to hurt guys late in a blowout, you do it early in the game or late in a close game. If you look at the players around the league that are dirty, you’ll see that even they aren’t knocking guys down in 20+ point blowouts, they are hurting guys early in games or late in close games. In other words, get over it you drama queens. Nash reaching back and tripping a guy in a situation where it makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE to do so doesn’t make him “dirty” any more than missing a shot makes Kobe Bryant a terrible shooter.

Yeah… a hater… right? And you know this with experience, I’m sure. I call it the way I see it, and its in plain view, on many replays in slow motion. He got beat by Felton, and he didn’t wanna look bad so he thought he’d trip him up and make him stumble so he can take away the bucket. If you are up by so much, why not just let him go? Why does the leg come up? To gain his balance so he can try to get back in front of him? Why not let the other defenders get in his way? If they had such a good cushion and he broke Nash down, let him get the bucket, it’s not like they were going to win the game from that bucket. It’s called an ego, you need to check yours. Raising his hand after the foul, huh? So obviously he knew what he did, right? You proved my point… Thank you.
