Antawn Jamison's Dig at Gilbert Arenas

I take this as one of two ways: either Jamison is making a not so subtle dig at the antics of Gilbert Arenas, or he is highlighting the fact that he puts on his helmet, grabs his lunch pail, and simply shows up to work everyday…..nothing more, nothing less. And since Jamison is not the type to be braggadocios about his workhorse mentality (which seems intrinsically wrong anyway), I’m going with the former.
He’s been taking digs at Gil for a while now. Doesn’t seem to have any effect on the Swag Machine, though.
There’s also option C, which is that he’s just saying he’s different than Gil without bashing the dude.
That’s how I read it. Antawn and Gil are best buds. Gil wouldn’t re-sign here unless Antawn did. Antawn was Gil’s mentor in Golden State. I doubt Antawn really has a problem with the dude.
Seems like making something out of nothing to me.

I don’t think it was anything malicious towards Gil…yea, they’re boys and all of that…but Jamison was more saying, ‘See, you can hit a game winner without hamming it up.’
Then again, Jamison knows, and we know, that Arenas and attention go hand and hand…..that’s just part of who he is.
How do you know he’s talking about Gilbert? I believe he is talking about Kobe and Lebron. They are the ones with the most game winning buzzer shots lately and that’s what both of them do after sinking the basket. They raise their arms up in triumph. So, why is the media thinking he is refering to Gilbert? Has Gilbert had a game winning shot this year? No. so again why does this person assume such? This is a intigating hating article aimed at slandering Gilbert. I think the person who has been on the news the most for game winning shots is Kobe Bryant.
