Sure ol’ Andray may be down and out (strained knee, 2-4 weeks)…..but that doesn’t mean he’s not “out” – if you know what I’m saying……wait, do I even know what I’m saying?
To clarify, I’m not saying that Blatche stepped out of some sort of closet, but that’s probably where he keeps that fly skully and chain.
Anyway…..go ol’ DC Fab spotted Blatche (and Vernon Davis) out at the Park at 14th sometime recently….I’m thinking last night (Thursday, Feb. 5th for you record keepers).
But really, who cares?
If my team was as bad as the Wizards, I’d be out drinking anyway. Wait…..my team is the Wizards and that’s what I do.

Sports Illustrated likes to take polls of NBA personnel — players, coaches, GMs, etc..
When they do, we win. The latest of such polls, a survey of 190 NBA players, asks the question, “Which NBA player thinks he’s a lot better than he really is?”
Some may call this the ‘Inflated Ego Award’ or ‘El Doucho Bago Del NBA Carnival’.
Whatever you call it, our own DeShawn Stevenson is tied for the lead.
Kendrick Perkins, Celtics C…..8%
DeShawn Stevenson, Wizards G…..8%
Rashad McCants, T-Wolves G…..5%

Not gonna lie, I’m almost embarrassed that the Wizards will be on national TV against the Denver Nuggets this Friday. It’s not that the Wiz are bad and depleted, but their laziness and lack of effort are reaching epic proportions.
I just don’t anticipate enjoying the ESPN commentators ripping my team a new one and telling me what I don’t already know.
Oh well, that’s life.
On the other hand…..
The famed ESPN RV will be making an appearance in DC before the game. Here are the details:

With seven minutes left in the 4th, Baron Davis hit a trey ball as an “inadvertent” whistle blew. They counted the shot and the Washington lead was cut to eight, 90-82. A bucket on the next Wizards possession was very crucial.
Sure, the Clips would cut the score to eight a couple times late in the game, but in this instance, Nick Young answered the call of duty to give the Wizards a 10 point lead and game changing bucket.
Here’s the break down:

Gilbert Arenas has no timetable, this we know. In fact, Gil himself, along with the local DC media coverage, hasn’t provided any updates on the ‘Gilbert Arenas Question’ in a while.
Yet here comes Yahoo(exclamation point) with their daily reminders that Arenas may or may not return to the court in an unspecified amount of time.
Thanks, jerks.

Why is Caron Butler not an NBA All-Star despite good numbers? To point out the obvious, the Wizards suck. But also, dude is turning the ball over like a fiend…..and he’s getting worse at the season progresses. His 3.3 per game is a career high, along with his 15.1 TO%.
