Ignoring the first quarter the Wiz played great ball through the last minute of the game. I have a couple questions regarding Gil's play, and his stats. He was 9-27 from the field with only 3 assists. So, are his assist totals so low because he was trying to do too much by himself thus leading to his ugly shooting percentage, or were his assists so low because the rest of the team wasn't helping him out by missing shots and not getting open? The shooting percentage for the team was a meager 38%.

I gotta say they did a great job on the boards, especially on the offensive end, which is the only reason this game was as close as it was. It afforded them an additional 10 shot attempts against Miami. Butler and Haywood alone combined for 21 rebounds.

I think Stevenson played admirable D on Wade, but how great is the advantage of that defense when he's going to miss open shots, and only hit half his free throws? I really wanted to see Nick Young in there.

The Wiz showed a late-game resolve that I liked, but its time to finish the close ones...particularly at home.
