What happened to the Gil that threw his jersey into the stands after each game, home or away? That guy was an incredible self marketer.

I would hate to see him go the way of Stephon Marbury with all the free time on his hands. I believe he can reinvent himself and even land a good contract again, albeit an incentive laden contract.

On the grand scale of things, what he did wasn’t that bad, it was just incredibly stupid and then compounded.

Ray Lewis was painted in a really bad light and went on to be MVP of superbowl within 12 months.

Season 5 with the media I think is pretty relatable with Gilbert’s situation.
