The picture show run down from last Saturday’s Wizards game versus the Atlanta Hawks…

The Wizards organization hands out free 3D glasses to fans so they can enjoy the 3D pre-game introductory montage that’s shown on the jumbo-tron for select home games.

The team sometimes has a random fan shag balls during warm-ups,
and I can only imagine the excitement of this youth throwing the ball to John Wall as he dons his jersey.

When you’re a vet like Rashard Lewis, you seem to know to know everyone in the league.
Right before the tip off, Lewis chats with Maurice Evans and Damien Wilkins of Atlanta Hawks,
both former teammates of Lewis’ — Evans in ’07-08 in Orlando and Wilkins from ’04-05 to ’06-07 in Seattle.

Andray Blatche has a extensive pre-game ritual of pointing up in the air after the singing of the national anthem,
then kissing the rim, fist bumping all of the refs and finally giving the fans some love.

JaVale McGee is an athletic 7-footer, who still lacks ONE consistent post move, and shoots jumpers at will. Fans still wonder why Flip Saunders has a quick trigger in benching him for mistakes sometimes. This attempt did not go in, but even when his low percentage attempts end successfully, unfortunately, it just empowers him to continue take them more. If McGee had a go-to jump hook or a step through move from the block, I could live much better with these mid-range shots.

Nick Young has excelled this season at making corner threes. They usually either come on the fast break where he runs to the spot and Wall makes near blind passes to him, or after a high post in roll, where the ball reversal leaves Young open on the weak side. He made this shot, but as you can see from the photo, it was only worth two points.

This was one of my favorite pictures from the game as three prominent conversations are occurring at the same time. Wall is cracking smiles with Sam Cassell, ref Joey Crawford is shaking hands with Bullets legend Bob Dandridge, and coach Flip Saunders is handing a sheet to owner Ted Leonsis.

McGee and Blatche are ready to set a double screen,
I am sure there is an easy Shadow Room one liner in there somewhere.

(the second time Yi has injured himself from contact with Wall this season).

Whatever the contents of their conversation, I guarantee it was quite comical.

If there is an App on the team’s iPad consisting of the play where the PF enters the post with a pass from the wing, it needs deleted immediately. High to low post passes between McGee and Blatche would more ideal, and personally, better for my blood pressure.

My assumption is that this chat is about Crawford talking smack to the rookie about Wall’s video game skills. In the locker room, I over heard Wall talking about how he beat a Wizards ball boy by 60 points in Madden at his crib. He admitted to kinda taking it easy by using the Cowboys with Jon Kitna though.

Kentucky fans really enjoyed the Wall/Cousins-led 2010 Elite Eight Wildcats season.

Rookie Trevor Booker Ds up Hawks Marvin Williams, but #freetrevorbooker did not enjoy his new playing time freedom due to foul trouble.

Coach Saunders gives his appreciation to Nick Young after a hard foul, then Leonsis offered his hand out as well to congratulate Young for his play. Clippers Owner Donald Sterling heckles his own players, Mavericks Mark Cuban screams at refs … the Wizards’ team owner gives props to a Wizards player after a clean foul protecting the rim. Enough Said.

Wall impressively won this jump ball against Josh Smith.

Wall might not have picked up cancer from Gilbert Arenas, but he did carry on his tradition of throwing his jersey into the stands after games.
