VIDEO: The Wizards Said WHAT? Nene Said Sorry to the Haters

Updated: May 4, 2014

The Washington Wizards won the series against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday, had the day off on Wednesday, and then practiced for three straight days without knowing their second-round opponent. (They now know Game 1 will take place in Indianapolis at 7 p.m. on Monday after the Pacers beat the Hawks early Saturday evening.)

Practice on Thursday was said to be more of an individual day. Randy Wittman took his team through options against both Atlanta and Indiana over subsequent days. Veterans admittedly enjoyed the rest and time to spend with their families before going back into playoff mode. Those same veteran figured that the Wiz Kids have been long ready to get their basketball on.

Over the past three days, the Wizards have talked about maintaining focus; keeping the consistency that developed from an early-season team meeting to a late-season loss to the Bobcats; having a chance to do some “crazy things, right now”; spending 20 minutes in the cold tub and doing Bikram Yoga; and, via Nene of course, giving a big sorry to all of the haters.

The Wizards Said WHAT?

John Wall, Marcin Gortat, Randy Wittman, Martell Webster, Al Harrington, Drew Gooden, Trevor Booker, Bradley Beal, and Nene will tell you.
