Wizards-Pacers Game 5 Watch Party: Tuesday Night, D.C., #WizardsTwitter
Whenever this Wizards playoff run ends, Washington winning its third playoff series in more than 30 years will at least be considered a success. This is an accomplishment, however modest, for a snake-bitten franchise. There will be plenty of time in the future to discuss if this is too low of a bar to set, or whether this group under current leadership is built for long-term success, or how Roy Hibbert got away with traveling on almost all of his post moves.
Right now, there is at least one game left to be played, and to support to the Wiz in Indiana, Truth About It.net is teaming up with Bullets Forever, Wizards Xtra and Hoop District for another Game 5 watch party. The last watch party concluded on a high note when Washington closed out Chicago—the booze and merriment flowed and a spontaneous cheer broke out at the bar. I swear, video proof:
The gathering will again be at Public Bar in Dupont Circle. They feature one of the largest TV projector screens in the city. There will be sound and drink and food deals. Wiz fan Chris Williams will be taking care of us at the main bar.
